What is Global Warming?

Global warming is a term used for the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effects.In the last hundred years the average temperature has risen due to the buring of fossil feuls like coal, crude oil, and natural gasses, Burning of these fossil feuls release Greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere,Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat in the atmosphere, Greenhouse gases include Carbon Dioxide (CO2),Methane,Nitrous Oxide,and Fluorinated Gases. The greenhouse effect is a process when gases in the Earth's atmosphere trap heat from the sun, resulting in warmer weather.But this causes a lot of issues such as rising of sea levels due to warmer global temperatures.

What causes Global Warming?

The cause of global warming is mainly due to human activity like burning fossil fuels,combustion in fossil feuls in cars,buildings,factories,power plants creating electricity, and loss of forests that would otherwise store CO2.All these activities release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.Which trap heat in the atmosphere raising the global temperature.

What are the effect of Global Warming?

Global warming causes lots of problems,one of them is that higher temperatures are worsening many types of disasters, including storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts. A warmer climate creates an atmosphere that can collect, retain, and drop more water, changing weather patterns in such a way that wet areas become wetter and dry areas drier.Rising sea levels,due to the warming global temperatures ice sheets and glaciers are melting at an accelerated rate from season to season. This contributes to sea levels rising in different regions of the planet. Together with expanding ocean waters due to rising temperatures, the resulting rise in sea level has begun to damage coastlines as a result of increased flooding and erosion.More acidic oceans, the earth's marine ecosystems are under pressure as a result of climate change. Oceans are becoming more acidic, due in large part to their absorption of some of our excess emissions.

What are we doing to prevent Global Warming?

There are websites and companies who dedicate themselves to try and prevent global warming.scientist are working on ways to sustainably produce hydrogen, most of which is currently derived from natural gas, to feed zero-emission fuel cells for transportation and electricity. Other efforts are aimed at building better batteries to store renewable energy; engineering a smarter electric grid; and capturing carbon dioxide from power plants and other sources with the goal of storing it underground or turning it into valuable products such as gasoline. energy efficiency and vehicle fuel economy, increases in wind and solar power, biofuels from organic waste, setting a price on carbon, and protecting forests are all potent ways to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other gases trapping heat on the planet.
